Mint is a plant species, which includes 42 species. They all contain a lot of menthol and are very aromatic. Due to this, they are often used in medicine, cooking and horticulture.
Ironically, different types of mint have different odors, because they contain their own set of essential oils, and in general they possess various chemical compositions.
